Most of us work hard to build something for our families. But there’s a question we often put off: If we couldn’t handle things tomorrow, would the people we trust know where to begin?

Would they know where to find the insurance policies, account information, property records, and important contacts? Would they know which bills need attention?

You don’t have to organize your entire financial life this weekend. Start with one page. Write down the names and contact information for the people your family may need to call: your insurance agent, bank, attorney if you have one, and anyone who helps manage your property or finances. Tell someone you trust where that page is kept.

That small step can spare your family a frantic search at a difficult time.

I’m Dorian, founder of Legacy Vault Financial. This newsletter will share practical ways to build, protect, and pass on wealth. We’ll talk about financial decisions, family preparedness, and the tools we create at LVF, including my book Called to Legacy. My aim is to give you something you can use in every issue.

One step for this week: Make that contact page, even if it isn’t perfect. You can add to it later.
